Carronade 2014 Wargames Show

I went along to Carronade 2014, in Falkirk, last Saturday. I was accompanied by my son and also my gaming buddy Jeff.

The plan was to spend a couple of hours selling some stuff I am never going to get around to using and the enjoy the show. Unfortunately, do to a booking mix up, we ended up with two separate sessions at the Flea Market, which made the morning a little chaotic... On top of that I must have completely misjudged the market this year (I did very well last year) and I did abysmally, selling very few of the things I took along.

Anyway, moving on to the actual show itself. I had a great day out, and even though I didn't get time to take part in any of the demo games it was an enjoyable day and I  managed to catch up with quite a few people. Not least of these was Mike, a gaming pal who moved down to Durham a couple of years ago. It was great to see him make the effort to come all the way up to Falkirk. Mike is in the process of setting up as a professional figure painter, so once he is up and running you can expect to see some examples of his work turning up on this blog...

Here is my usual photo dump:-

This Dambusters game from RAF Leuchars looked to be good fun!

One of the more original tables was a Pacific Rim game... very appropriate with this weeks release of Godzilla!

Even though I didn't make too much of a profit on the Flea Market I did give in to temptation and bought a few things. I got both packs of Fireforge Games new Mongols, both foot and mounted. I also picked up a few Crooked Dice Games Federated Troopers and Ainsty Casting new hovercraft!

All in all a good day, and some very attractive games.
